Winter Weather Advisory As of 2:44 am EST on February 9, 2016

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until midnight EST tonight...
... Winter Storm Warning is cancelled...

The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect
until midnight EST tonight. The Winter Storm Warning has been
cancelled.

* Precipitation type... snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 2 to 5 inches... except 1
to 3 inches in Anne Arundel County.

* Timing... light rain early this morning is expected to
transition to all snow around daybreak. The snow will continue
into the afternoon... with periods of heavier snow possible
mainly near the Mason Dixon line.

* Impacts... snow covered roads and travel disruptions possible.

* Winds... east 5 to 10 mph becoming north this afternoon.

* Temperatures... lower 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.






Coastal Flood Advisory As of 2:09 am EST on February 9, 2016

... Coastal Flood Advisory in effect until midnight EST tonight...

The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a coastal Flood Advisory... which is in effect until
midnight EST tonight.

* Tidal anomaly... between 2 and 3 feet above normal.

* Timing... around the times of high tide.

* Expected impacts... minor inundation of low lying shoreline.

on the Chesapeake Bay...
Havre de Grace... 10:16 am and 10:16 PM...
Bowley Bar... 7:55 am and 8:37 PM...
Fort McHenry Baltimore... 6:45 am and 7:26 PM...

Now along the Potomac River...

Indian Head... 8:06 am and 8:25 PM...
Aquia creek... 6:52 am and 7:11 PM...
Goose Bay... 4:12 am and 4:31 PM...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.



All tide heights are relative to mean lower low water.
